Charlie joined the Elisabeth Curtis Centre in 2026. A 16-year-old French Trotter x New Forest x Connemara, he originally came from France, where he worked with disabled riders before moving to the UK.
Full of character and always looking for something to do, Charlie loves playing with equipment around the yard. Whether he's carrying arena equipment around in his mouth or investigating anything he can get hold of, he keeps volunteers and riders entertained with his playful personality.
Charlie is a favourite with many of our independent riders. Although he can be cheeky at times, he is very safe and enjoys having fun with his participants. One of his more unusual habits is his love of licking people, which has quickly become one of his trademark quirks!
