Having lived in Bromham for over 30 years, I have always been aware of the Elisabeth Curtis Centre, but underestimated the fantastic work that the Centre does and the impact it has on lives.
I saw an advert on the village website for a Trustee and having spent my working life in corporate business, was really interested in getting involved in something with purpose, where my skills and experience could help make a difference. ECC certainly fitted that bill. I am keen to ensure that ECC is a great place to be for participants, volunteers and staff.
I work for Kier Group, which is a £3bn+ nationwide business in the construction sector. My current role is Group Learning, Development and Talent Director, where I am responsible for ensuring that my colleagues have access to learning and development opportunities to reach their full potential. I hope to use some of my experience to ensure that all those involved in ECC can do the same.
I don’t know much about the equestrian world, apart from being pony mad in my younger years and riding up to the age of 16, but I am keen to learn and really enjoy being part of a diverse Board of Trustees with a brilliant range of skills and knowledge that will help ECC thrive and grow.
